This is 2500W Power Inverter by Cobra, the inverter will convert 12V DC voltage (12V car battery) to be 120V AC power output. Since it a 2500W inverter, it should be capable to handle the most of home office electronic appliances such as refrigerator, microwave, home theatre, desktop computer, fans and more.
Power Inverter Review:
I lately installed the Cobra 2575 in my 2001 F-250 diesel truck w 110amp alternator and dual Optima red leading batteries. I would like to share how I installed the inverter to give persons solutions. I previously ran 15′ ott gauge wire in my truck for my stereo. I installed the inverter under my rear seat and tied the dual 4 gauge wires into my distribution block along with the other dual 4’s to my frame where I grounded my amps. I also have a 1 farad cap installed to feed the want of my amps and now the inverter. I load tested the inverter with my truck at idle with my shop vac pulling 6.4 amps and separately then my circular saw pulling 15amps peak and 12 amps running using the inverter momentarily flashing ambient temp protection with no loss of 120v. Mind you I live in Texas at its about 99 degrees outside at present. So then I switched to my Kirby upright vacuum and proceeded to clean the downstairs of my house with no troubles. Hope this lends a hand of tips on how to install a inverter and yes I didn’t install precisely based on producers specifications. Please note, my truck was already setup for overkill to feed my stereo. The subsequent add on will probably be a larger alternator that I definitely do not have to have. If ya drive a pickup go to American Armature for a poor ass alternator. They manufacture alternators for rescue vehicles. I had one in my old truck at idle it was 120amps, 1000rpm’s it would put out 220amps.
