500W Power Inverter Circuit using Transistor 2N3055

500W power inverter circuit diagram

This is the scheme diagram of 500W power inverter circuit which build using 10 pieces of well-known NPN power transistor 2N3055 to amplify the AC signal produced by multivibrator. The frequency generator / multivibrator is built based on transistors too. All of the components is easy to gathered from the electronic store.

This 500W power inverter converts a 12V input voltage from the car battery (rated at 12V/50A for maximum power output). The output will be 220V AV output, or you may use 110V transformer if you want to achieve 110V AC output. The power transistor 2N3055 should be mounted on heatsink, so the heat will be spread over the heatsink and prevent the transistor from overheeating.

Inverter, is an electronic device or circuitry that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC). The input voltage, output voltage and frequency, and overall power handling depend on the design of the specific device or circuitry. The inverter does not produce any power; the power is provided by the DC source.

Warning: This is a high voltage circuit, use safety equipment when trying to run this circuit.

  1. i need 5000watts power invertor fr my small workshop.please help me to develop and give me the simple compenent for quality and strongerstcontsct me on +233248828793.visis me on face book

  2. i have a small shop shop where am charging phons and battery, i also hv fan in that shop. plz can u tell me the procedure of how to construct inverter, how to connect it and the watts that is resonsible on Am blessing. thanks

  3. please help me sir, i need a diagram with using input dc 12v 3amps transformer to output of 500w inverter 60hz modified sine wave.

  4. I just did this circuit and its work can run an electric fan also LED light bulbs. There is another version of this circuit but it didn’t work there is one error. just follow this circuit and nothing else
