Here the 12V to 220V inverter based MOSFET IRFZ44. This DC to AC inverter circuit work according to unstable multivibrator. In this inverter circuit, IC CD4047 is do the job as being a heart of unstable multivibrator, because of the fact that this IC type delivers a complementary output which has opposite phase to another (pin 10 and 11), and has 50 percent duty cycle that satisfy to generate a pulse for inverter.

This circuit is generally known as very simple 12V to 220V inverter because the output have not a sinusoidal signal yet, so there are many harmonic signal at the output. To reduce this signal we have to utilize a filter just like a capacitor C. As a result of this simpleness, this circuit is applicable only for lighting demand. To produce a sinusoidal DC to AC inverter, it can be possible to work with a PWM signal for driving a step-up transformer.

The AC output is usually 120 VAC, 60 Hz (USA domestic power) or 230 VAC, 50 Hz (International power). Inverters are usually used to supply AC power from DC sources such as solar panels or batteries

  1. Won’t give full voltage on output. Transformer should have a higher turns ratio. There is no decoupling capacitor present at pin 14 of the 4047.

  3. can you help me, how if I used 24v battery and transformer centered tapped 24v – 0 – 24v ?
    what part I should to change?
    or I can just plug in it?
    and how much watt can handle by this circuit if I use 5A transformer.
    please reply … thanks before..

    we got an inverter circuit using Ic KA3525A.and the inverter seems to be working smooth.but for our project purpose we have to know the design parameters of that.we only know the components list and circuit with us,, also dont know the how the components please help me solve this issue.
